Last week I had an interesting meeting with HP engineers and program managers who promised to have the ZBook Fury G8 supported with firmware and bios on fwupd / LVFS early in February.
And there it is. They finally made it: fwupd.org
Alot more interesting: They gave me some details and reasons that make me believe their promises that they will bring support and certification for Ubuntu for the next hardware releases at the same time with the Windows certification. Although they still need to prove these promises it makes me really happy that another major vendor announces to now really support Linux on all of their future desktop devices.
